May 8: Spring at its best - goose family

I seem to have been in a rush in the morning in the past couple of days, so instead of going for a run with Riley, I have been running him while cycling around the block. I spotted this goose family with goslings earlier in the week, but there was so much squawking and excitement that I couldn't get anywhere close enough to take a picture...so, today I came prepared, and we approached slowly and quietly, and watched this cute little family as Mom and Dad shepherded them into the water and made sure that no one was left behind, and then swam around in a tight little group. That is what family is...love, dedication, care and standing by you through thick and thin, no matter if they are blood-relatives or not!!
