I love how Snapchat is fun, and gives a glimpse into some silliness. This was on the bus to the city, a Friday fieldtrip, and time for some fun. The fun preceded a sombre outing to a New York City fire department and Ground Zero, tying into a novel of the horrific events of September 11 they had been studying all year. It was one of those life-changing experiences for Nicole, where everything is placed in perspective. There were no snaps on the way home. But in reflection, there was huge respect for the first responders keeping us safe and free.
