May 22: Patiently waiting

“Patience is power. Patience is not an absence of action; rather it is "timing" it waits on the right time to act, for the right principles and in the right way.” ― Fulton J. Sheen

Each year I have patiently waited for the leaves on this tree to slowly unfurl, one by one, weeks after all the other trees in the garden. It seems to come to life, one leaf at a time, making me wait patiently for its beauty to be fully revealed. Patience is a lesson in perfect timing, teaching us to wait for better things to come, with the right principles, and carried out in the right way. Not rushing into things that are not meant to be.
