It still amazes me that things can be left out here, and are not stolen. This little basket of books is for the taking on someone's sidewalk. I love this concept, that people will share what they no longer need, and others don't just take for the sake of taking, but take what they want and need. Books are such a treasure, opening up other worlds, cultures, and ideas. They are fundamental to gaining insight into our own lives, as well as broadening our horizons.
