March 12: Indoor gardening

A vegetable garden in the beginning looks so promising and then after all little by little it grows nothing but vegetables, nothing, nothing but vegetables. Gertrude Stein

With the warming weather in February, I could get into the garden a little to do some delayed fall cleanup...like tidying up garden beds and cutting down the grasses, readying them to spring to life in March...but Spring has been a little delayed, and with cabin fever setting in I did a little research on how to get my vege garden going as soon as possible. So, for the first time ever, I am starting seeds indoors...most of the instructions on the back of the packets say to only plant two weeks or more after the last frost, and with all this snow...who knows when that is going to be. In the meantime, I can't wait for nothing but vegetables, of a million different kinds!!!
