July 2: New car

So, after much discussion back and forth, the time has come for Caitlin to buy her own car to have the freedom of not having to use her bicycle, or wait for the bus. Exciting times, freedom to go where she pleases. Freedom to go to the store for groceries and not worry about how she is going to get the cartful home. Freedom to go to the library and work until midnight, then safely get home. But of course, everything is relative...freedom providing you have the funds to pay for the gas, servicing, or parking! Still, it gives me peace of mind knowing she will not be waiting alone at a bus stop in the dark, or waiting in the early hours of the morning for an Uber. So, freedom for me too! As long as she knows that there is always a responsibility for freedom, and that it should not be taken lightly, ever.
