February 12: Misty morning

I do not ask for the riches that perish or the fame that fades away like a morning mist. Mother Angelica

As the rain melts the snow, the mist thickens...but will eventually fade away. It is eerily beautiful and a good reminder that worldly things do not stay with us, so there is little point in wanting more and more to gratify our self-indulgence. How to not want more is more difficult though, and I think it is found in the happiness of living simply. Will try that, and let you know how it goes!
