January 4: Snow day

Snow days are a quick reprieve from the daily routine...but the weather is so bad you can't go out and do anything...other than shovel the snow! So, you just do stuff at home that you need to do and never have time for...even if it is just sitting on the couch together watching a thousand re-run episodes of 'Dr. Pol'! Snow days do produce wondrous landscapes, beautifying the dull browns and greys of winter, so long as they don't go on for too long...because one day is already causing cabin fever, especially for those of us lucky enough to spend most of the time on the West Coast!
