January 1: New dawn, new day, new year!

That is what is so exciting about a new year...it is really no different from any other day, but it is new and fresh and exciting. The chance to experience things that we have not experienced before. New sounds, new sights, new adventures. Even in the everyday, it is good to look at everything with new eyes, then we appreciate what we have and look forward to the adventure, where ever it may take us. It is also a chance to be kinder, gentler, nicer...to be a light in the darkness. A chance to share our light with others. It is a chance to forgive and be forgiven, to free ourselves from self-inflected burdens. A chance to reflect on where we have come from, and realize that we are stronger than we ever imagined, and to take that strength forward, empowering others to do the same. I am so excited for the paths I have yet to tread, and the adventures I have yet to experience!
