January 10: Outdoor ice skating

I have driven past this park about a hundred times, and always thought it looked like a nice place to go for a walk, but never really stopped to look closely. I never realized it was an outdoor weather-dependent skating rink in winter. It is also very civilized - no litter lying around, owing to the clearly labelled garbage can. I did see someone out on the ice, despite a red flag, taking a chance of falling into freezing chaos. Civilized life dances on the thin ice...always hoping not to fall into the ocean of chaos and darkness...necessitating short periods of cold to be maintained!
